Squareball consists of three teams of four.
The court consists of four 1-metre circles - each 5 metres apart - forming a square.
The game starts with Team A occupying the circles. They have a ball and they pass the ball around the square. Each circuit scores one point. Teams B and C roam freely and they try to intercept the ball. If they can do this, the ball is returned to the start of the square.
Each period lasts three minutes and then the teams change position. Each team has two innings - two attempts at passing the ball around the square - so a complete game lasts eighteen minutes.
The game is popular in the west country of England.
